Carmel High School is managed by the C.M.I (Carmelites of Mary Immaculate) fathers of the Mar Thoma Province of Chanda. The Charisma of the CMI Congregation is to work out people-oriented Programme sensing the needs and signs of times. Right from the days of its founder (Blessed Kuriakose Elias Chavara(1805-1871), it has been active in the fields of education, printing, publication, healthcare, etc.
Carmel High School, Gadchiroli was started on 13/06/1992 in three small rented rooms on the Armori Road, Gadchiroli. As the number of the students increased, it was then shifted to another temporary premises on the Dhanora Road during the same academic year. The primary section got the permission of the Government of Maharashtra during the academic year 1993-1994 and was subsequently recognized by the Zilla Parishad, Gadchiroli.
After the successful completion of the academic year 1994-1995 the Carmel High School, Gadchiroli is blessed to function in this own new premises from the academic year 1995-1996. All these year Carmel High School has been on the path of progress due to the Blessings of the almighty and the good wishes of all the good people associated with the school and the bale leadership of Fr.Jose Kattekara, Fr. SebastianThattil, Fr.Paul Valiaparambil, Fr. Sebastian Vayalil, Fr. George C.C, Fr. Jaison, Fr. Tomy Layappilly, Fr. Antony Kuttiyani, Sr. Liz Jose SH, Fr. Johny Edapulavan, Fr. George C.C. , Fr. Anish Mathew, Fr. Joy P.L and committed efforts of the staff.
